There is proficient use in creating sound that compliments the visuals and are appropriate to the task. The sound creates further emotion and response from the audience, especially during the middle of the opening as the main character starts to feel unnerved in his home. The themes of Halloween and mystery are appropriate to the task, genre and target audience. Titles are utilised well and fit the expectations of a ‘Dimension’ production. There is proficient use of camera handling and framing, however at times this could be improved. There is proficient use of mise en scene too such as the location, iconography of torture notes and low-key lighting to create further meaning. Editing is appropriate and shot transitions and effects have been used well, especially to show time passing as the victim is slowly antagonised.
